Broke Wisconsin

As i was browsing the internet i came across an article which depressed me. The article was saying that the state of Wisconsin is broke and ithout money. The sad thing is that the governor Scott Walker, is going to cut the public school and local government budgets by $1.5 billion. Some of the cuts will be by the way of the government giving up pensions and other money they have to give up.
The article states that the government needs to start making up the budget before they harm our best assets our children. The governor will have many cuts in the schools. However, they say they are starting to get the budget under control now which in the long run will effect the children because if they cut the school budgets then why will in effect hurt the children in more ways than one. The story concludes by saying that the other parts of Wisconsin's government will do revisions. I hope that they get their money from someone else. The full story can be found at the following: http://n.pr/gWC472

  1. Personally I think the mess is Wisconsin is just that, a mess. Schools across the country are a massive waste of money and need to have their budgets cut. Tenur is one of the single worst programs in the country. it keeps bad teachers in and good teachers out. Wisconsin is trying to regulate Unions and make teachers invest more in retirement plans rather than rely on the government for all their money. My fiancee has begun this very thing and if he does it properly we'll have enough money at retirement that neither of us will have to work at all.

  2. I saw this on the news the other day. This is really horrible and they are cutting out unions in Wisconsin as well. What I want to know is where did all of their money go? Who went in there and spent it? It’s sad that they are taking money away from the innocent though. The kids in the Wisconsin school system can’t help that the schools don’t have money, but they are the ones who are going to suffer in the end

  3. I think the budget cuts should come from somewhere else also, because schools aren't at there best state right now children aren't learning the right things and some teachers don't care about the children anymore. But at least it isn't as bad as Detroit schools where 44 schools will be closing. The main thing that people should be giving more money to is schools not taking it away.

  4. This is a very unfortunate situation that this state is under so much due to financial problems. I am like most when I feel that some of the budget cuts should come from somewhere else other than the educational funding. Don't jeopardize the kids and their learning efforts unless it's the last resort. Hopefully this problem will get resolved in another manner and the school systems won't dwindle.

  5. I think no matter it is a country or state, if it wants to develop, there must be adequate and sufficient money to support. I am very sorry that this state was under the financial crises. Government may be able to help them out of this tough time and gives them financial support. To develop a country or state, the financial power is the basis.
